Allison’s July Favorites
Another month swept by us. It’s perhaps my biggest month for me. I left my job to pursue my career. I’m moving out of Long Beach and things are definitely changing. This month didn’t have too many new surprises! Again I’ve been spending less money this month and next month in order to save up. There isn’t much that will be on this list of favorites, BUT it’s products I’m dying to talk about!
I was super excited to try our this cleanser from Rosen Skincare! When they said it’s a smoothie for your face, they weren’t kidding! I love using this after a long and sweaty day. I wash my face for 60 seconds-as always- and it feels so nice and refreshing. I love the little strawberry seeds I feel on my face. I definitely felt a difference on skin after using it for a week. My skin has been acting up because of hormonal breakouts, but they did calm down after using this every night.
$1 Soap Brows
So I finally gave in and tried the “Soap brow” trend! I remember seeing it on tiktok for a while now. I never got the hype and then I decided..why not! EveRyone recommended this Pears soap. There is no link because I got this at the Dollar Tree for ONE DOLLAR! This is perhaps the only product I will only buy repeatedly that is not cruelty free because it’s incredibly cheap. I also love how it’s a zero waste eye brow gel! I did a quick video on my IGTV!
Shade: Honey Honey T2W
I was SO excited to get this in the mail. I absolutely LOVE this foundation. The first time I tried it on, it was a perfect match. Kevin thought I wasn’t wearing makeup at all!! It has a beautiful natural finish, and you can build it up. At first, it was serumy, but after the second time, it was thicker. I like using a beauty blender to blend it out. If I just want a quick cover-up, I’ll use a buffing brush.
I also purchased their Stay Woke Concealer in the corresponding shade and I can’t wait to try it out!
Oh boy! I saved the best for last! I have been loving these new products I bought from Mented Cosmetics!
Matte Lisptick in Foxy Brown: I absolutely love this lipstick it’s like my lips but better. If I want a bolder color then I apply a little bit more. It is matte and wish I got it in a different formulation, but the color is so beautiful I don’t even mind. Def a fall fav soon.
Blush in Peach for the stars: I have been looking for a nice peach blush that is pigmented enough for my skin. A lot of peach blushes either just blend out into my skin or doesn’t show up at all. This, however, is perfect. The pigment is so nice and it has shimmer in it! I normally don’t care for shimmer but it’s not an over kill!
Everyday Eyeshadow Palette: I love this eyeshadow palette. It’s perfect for well…everyday eye looks! The pigment is so nice and the colors are divine. I love that the lighter colors aren’t ashy. I wish there was a light bone color for highlight, other than that it’s perfect. I would choose this over my Morphe palettes to be honest. I use this everyday and it lasts all day!
That’s all I have for monthly favorites this month. I’m hoping I can try new things in August, however, I’m definitely crunching numbers since we took Joe to the vet and we’re in the middle of moving.
