January

I’m so excited it’s finally the new year! 2020 was a challenging year, but it had some good things!

I graduated from university, I went to England with my best friend, and I moved with my boyfriend to NorCal!

Even though the pandemic is still going on, I can make many personal changes to make my life better! One of my goals is to work on my online presence. I think I’ve gotten better with the content I’ve created for my social media. Still, I’m really excited about my youtube channel and working on that more. I have many ideas, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and now I finally have the chance to do it. I also want to include more blog posts like this where I can talk about life. I’m transparent when it comes to my life. I never wish to paint a perfect picture for people because life isn’t perfect. I love a good photo where the pose is on point, but we are all human in the end. When I write, I try to express my thoughts without a filter.

Another goal of mine is to work in my career. I graduated with a BA in Journalism. I want to write about people, culture, politics, and life. I think writing can bring people together in many different ways. When I graduated, I didn’t find a job straight out of school. It was hard, but it happens, especially with the pandemic going on. I’m currently looking into internships to earn more experience. I gained a lot of experience from school and my previous internships, but it’s still not enough, sadly. So internships and just reaching out to people is the best way to get my foot in the door. My blogging is my creative outlet, and if, in the future, I can combine them both, that would be amazing!

One of my life goals is to travel, with the pandemic is a little bit harder to achieve. However, once things open up a little more, I’m excited to explore NorCal and share my experiences!

I also want to reinvent my style a little more. I have my Pinterest board loaded with lots of ideas, and I really want to achieve them in a sustainable and fun way! My number one style icon is Audrey Hepburn. I love Edwardian, Victorian, Cottagecore, light academia, and classic looks. I just thrifted penny loafers that I have been dying to get. When I dress the way I want to, it makes me extremely happy. Kevin notices and is happy when I’m happy.

I’m also just doing things for the fun of it. I want more tattoos, and I’ve been wanting to get a haircut for a while now. Since the pandemic, I don’t feel comfortable going to a salon. SO I finally caved and did it myself. It’s funny though, the first time was terrible, but it was fun. I was giddy with happiness and felt like a “bad girl” because it was horrible and out of character for me. Honestly, I always plan and always have structure, which is good, but at the same time, it isn’t always necessary. In this case, as little as it was out of character to just cut mohair chaotically, it still was fun. It actually came out good, too; I’m impressed. Over the next few months, my next plan is to get a tattoo scheduled as I have many ideas I want to get!

Overall, my goal every year is to be happy with who I am and what I’m doing with life.
